The room we were in was practically made out of gold! Golden bars on the floors, piled up high, reaching the ceiling. Jewellery all studded and stuffed inside a treasure, too made out of gold. Silver platters and expensive gemstones fill the tables, leaving no room for ancient artifacts that would cost a fortune if sold in a museum to be left littering on the floor. The walls and ceiling were made of gold, while the floor was normal marble. In the middle of it all, lies a throne, adorned with jades, emerald, rubies and sapphires. The only way to get all these was that you'd steal it! Oh yeah, thieves... X and I were resisting the urge to stuff our bags and pockets and every little crummy space in our clothes with all the gold coins. We had to, coz there were 10 guards about 20 feet away from us. They were all equipped with longswords and shields, indicating that they were specifically there to protect the treasury. X nodded at me, and I nodded back at him. We knew what we were gonna do. Its do or die.
I withdrew my revolver fast and shot all 5 rounds at 5 guards, hitting 4, the other one missed by a centimeter. I jumped to the left, and saw X flanking the other guards. I distracted the guards while X takes his time to go to their backs. I shot a few rounds, intentionally missing everyone but one guard. 5 down, 5 more to go. X backstabbed 2 of em, and knocked out 1 guard. I took my time to reload. The 2 guards, obviously outnumbering X charged at him, X running away until I finished reloading. I hastily inserted 2 bullets in my revolver holes, flipped it back in and shot the 2 guards. Bullseye! The 2 guards fall dead. We stopped for awhile to check if anymore guards were coming. Good thing though, coz 3 more flooded through the entrance where we were. Looks like my gunshots made a loud noise. X looked tired, but since I didnt reload fully, I had to make him distract them again. He threw some coins at them, giving me enough time to load up 2 bullets. I shot the 2, bullseye again. My accuracy was recognized by a sergeant major while he was patrolling my hometown. He saw me slinging rocks at ducks, but the thing is that I was hitting the ducks a few yards away. He took me in and trained me, day by day. Now im grateful, that im surviving because of what he thought me.
I decided X could handle off one guard, so I took the chance to reload my 22. revolver. Flipped it back up and gripped it hard. X had just finished settling the lone guard. I scanned the room, checking if there is yet any more guards, and finding no trace of life, moved on. I had to complete my mission, killing Sahim. X followed me, picking up a shield along the way. We passed through hallways, and then found a dead end. Well, not EXACTLY a dead end, there was a locked door at the end. The door was made out of stainless steel, not exactly something you see everyday. My guess was that either this door leads to a prisoner that needs to be kept in such security, or this door leads to Sahim himself. I had just remembered that I packed some c4 with me back at the base camp. I took out 2, and threw them on the hinges of the steel door. X and I took a few steps back, and I pressed the big red button. BOOM! The door came right off. Perfect...
When the smoke cleared, I immediately jumped sideways, because what I saw was Sahim. But that alone wouldnt make me jump, it's what was with him that made me jump. He had a machinegun in his hand... The sound of gunfire immediately ringed through the hallway, and I saw a sight that wasnt good. X hadnt dodged quick enough and was shredded to pieces as soon as the bullets hit him. I pray that hes in a good place now. I ran as far back as I could, escaping the madman Sahim with his roaring machinegun. From the looks of it, it looked like the type that doesnt need to cool down. As if the machinegun wasnt bad enough, now its the type that doesnt cool down! I ran towards the treasury, knowing the large space is a good place hold many hiding places. I sprinted as fast as a cheetah, death was mere seconds away. Behind me, I hear the whooshing noises of bullets passing me. It was a miracle that im still alive. As I ran and ran, finally I came to the treasury. The sight of it made my eyes cry a little abit. I dove to the nearest cover, and heard Sahims gunfire coming closer and closer. He is now in the room. I knew this place would be a good spot to backstab him.
Suddenly I heard something. Well not exactly heard, but not hear. The gunfires stopped! He must be reloading now! I quickly came out from my hiding spot. Uh-oh, CMON! RELOADING A MACHINEGUN CANT BE THAT FAST! I ran back to my cover, as the machinegun roared back to life. Figures, a guy like him should have the gift of the sleight of hand. Then, as if a gift from god, I noticed something. Sahims standing next to a really gigantic unstable pillar. But still, it looked like it could need a really big hit to budge it. Obviously my revolver wont do a thing to it. Then I saw something at the corner of my eye. A pot! Well, not just the pot. It looked like it could fall down, roll down the floor, tipping a golden staff, which will cast fire on some curtains, thus causing the pot of gunpowder next to it to explode, budging the big unstable pillar thats gonna fall on Sahim. I dont even know how I knew all that. So I took a deep breathe, and possibly a giant leap of hope. I took out my revolver, and aimed right at the pot. I pulled the trigger. BANG! The bullet flew straight to the pot, causing all the reactions I had just said. The big pillar then budged, seemed to sway a little which then became alot, and finally fell on top of Sahim. He lay down dead. YAY
MISSION OVER.
Huh... finally i finished the story. Didnt mean it to be so boring. Ciao everyone
